There have been serveral issues discussed on the Office 365 community and Microsoft has a <a title=\"Support article\" href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/2566790\/en-us\" target=\"_blank\">support article<\/a> to provide help. I will try to describe the DNS record step more in detail, since this seems to be the problem. Basically you need to to the following:<\/p>\n<p>Add SRV DNS record for Lync federation. According to Microsoft you should add the following:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SRVrecords.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-75\" title=\"SRVrecords\" src=\"http:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SRVrecords.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"658\" height=\"108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SRVrecords.jpg 658w, https:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SRVrecords-300x49.jpg 300w, https:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SRVrecords-500x82.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 658px) 100vw, 658px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The problem here is to understand how to add the record. It needs to be added as <strong>_sipfederationtls._tcp.&lt;DomainName&gt;<\/strong> and the value as <strong>100 1 5061 sipfed.online.lync.com<\/strong>. Look at this example:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SrvDns.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74\" title=\"SrvDns\" src=\"http:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SrvDns.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"373\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SrvDns.jpg 373w, https:\/\/powerkjell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/SrvDns-300x108.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 373px) 100vw, 373px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The record can be tested with this great tool: <a title=\"Office 365 DNS test tool\" href=\"http:\/\/www.testmyoffice365.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.testmyoffice365.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also, you need to allow federation for your Office 365 domain. Go to the <a title=\"Office 365 admin portal\" href=\"https:\/\/portal.microsoftonline.com\/admin\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Office 365 admin portal<\/a> and click on Lync.
